We Are Indiedev!

HEART OF NEON is about independent video game development.
Some people call that indiedev.
But what ELSE does indiedev mean?

Indiedev is a state of mind. Indiedev is a passion, a mission, a way of life. Jeff Minter has been indiedev for over forty years. His story is unique, and so is the story of EVERY indiedev! HEART OF NEON has partnered with the IGDA FOUNDATION to share the indiedev way of life with a wider world. Meet the creators of wildly inventive games who come from all walks of life from all over the globe.

We Are IndieDev!

There are 23-50 top-tier so-called "AAA" video game development/publishing companies, and they constitute the perceived "video game industry". But that is far from the whole picture. Indiedevs are entirely global. They arise anywhere with prevalent computer and/or gaming technology. They create video games for a myriad of reasons, and almost none of them make any profit. Largely without a voice, these creatives are typically disregarded as irrelevant. We disagree with that. There's too much good stuff out there to ignore.
