Heart of Neon charts Jeff's career from pioneer to legend, mapping the territory Jeff traversed and examining how his Llamasoft brand remains a beacon to everyone inspired by the same purity Jeff admires in classic arcade gaming.
Heart of Neon is by the same team that partnered with Digital Eclipse to bring you Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story. This film is a spiritual sequel to that project: Heart of Neon digs deeper into Jeff as a person and as a game development pioneer, and the film ventures further into Jeff's career, charting the exhilarating highs and wretched lows of Jeff's indie video game life after Tempest 2000.
There is no one like Jeff Minter. This is his story.

Paul Docherty - Director
Starting out as a video games graphics designer in the 1980s, Paul has worked in film and television now for over a decade. He has edited documentaries such as FACING FORWARD: A STUDENT'S STORY for PBS, and JODOROWSKY'S DUNE for SONY PICTURES CLASSICS. His animation has also appeared in such television documentaries as GENESIS: TOGETHER AND APART, and LENNON NYC.
HEART OF NEON is Paul's first feature documentary as director.
Tony Longworth - Composer
With over 30 years experience in the music industry, award winning composer Tony Longworth brings something unique to the world of film, television & video games. Tony is not afraid to experiment, continually striving to create something different with his work. There is a dark edge to his music, but there is also warmth and feeling at its heart. Tony is not your run-of-the-mill composer.
